SA1 are happy to announce we have a new Apprentice! Danny Hand
joined SA1 at the end of August, but originally reached out to SA1 at
the beginning of March while he was still studying his GCSE’s in Bishop
Vaughan Catholic School. Danny introduced himself to SA1 as he was
seeking an IT apprenticeship and thought that SA1 would be the perfect
company for him. It was his confidence and grown up nature that appealed
to SA1, Steve Lawrence, helpdesk team leader commented,
“At the age of 16 many people don’t know what they want to do with
their lives, so we were refreshed by the confidence and grown up manner
that Danny possessed. His enthusiasm and ambition stood out when we met
and we were happy to set up an apprenticeship for him.”
SA1 has always been a big supporter of IT Apprenticeships and has had
many apprentices over the years through Swansea ITec. Matthew Daniel,
helpdesk team manager stated,
“When Danny reached out to us we did not currently have an active
apprentice which is uncommon for us. As an organisation, we believe
strongly in the Apprenticeship Scheme and believe that hands on
experience and training is very beneficial to those seeking a career in
IT. Danny contacted us at the right time and made our search for our
next apprentice much easier!”
Since joining SA1 Danny has fitted in well within the organisation
and has become a valued member of the team, Simon Ahearne SA1 manager
director commented,
“Danny has proved himself since joining SA1. We believe in giving our
apprentices all different levels of tasks, as well as providing them
with experience supporting different teams within the organisation and
Danny has never shied away from the task at hand. I look forward to
watching him grow and develop his skills as an IT Engineer.”
