Cookies Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains more broadly how Sa1 Solutions Limited handles personal data.
01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later visit, remember choices you have made, and function correctly.
Cookies are described in two ways:
- Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
Similar technologies, including local storage, pixels and embedded scripts, can do much the same job. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those too.
02Cookies this site uses
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to work. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent, because the site cannot function without them. They do not track you and they are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| CONSENT COOKIE NAME | Records your cookie preferences so you are not asked again on every page | e.g. 12 months |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Keeps site administrators signed in. Set only for logged-in staff, never for ordinary visitors | Session |
Analytics and advertising
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural profiling on this website. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.
03Third party content
Some pages include content served by other companies. Loading that content sends your IP address to the provider concerned, and may set cookies controlled by them rather than by us. We only load it once you have given consent.
- Google Maps. Used to show the location of our office. Loading a map transmits your IP address to Google and may set cookies on your device. See Google's privacy notice.
- Google Fonts. Used to render the typefaces on this site. Where font files are requested from Google's servers, your IP address is transmitted to Google in order to deliver them.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Secure-ENID | Google (google.com) | Set when a Google Map loads. Google uses it to store preferences and for security purposes | About 13 months |
Google Fonts does not set a cookie, but requesting font files from Google's servers does transmit your IP address to Google.
Links to our profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook and X are ordinary hyperlinks, not embedded plugins. They set no cookies unless you click them, at which point the privacy policy of that platform applies.
04Your choices
When you first visit the site you are asked whether to allow non-essential cookies and third party content. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you accept.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookies Settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened while consent was in place.
Refusing non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site. The office map will not load until you allow it, and fonts may fall back to a system typeface.
05Controlling cookies in your browser
Separately from the choices offered on this site, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting to reject third party cookies entirely. You will find these under privacy or security settings.
Blocking all cookies will stop parts of this and most other websites from working properly. The Information Commissioner's Office publishes plain-English guidance on cookies and how to manage them.
06Changes and contact
